Kaiser Wilhelm II was the last German Emperor and King of Prussia From 1888-1918. He was the eldest grandchild of Queen Victoria and first cousin to King George V and Tsar Nicholas II of Russia.
He moved away from Germany’s relatively peaceful foreign policy and towards more aggressive tactics, which lead to the First World War in 1914. When it became obvious that Germany had lost the war, Wilhelm had to abdicate and was forced to live in the Netherlands.
