All the gold bars we sell are from leading LBMA approved refiners. The serial number, weight and fineness are stamped on the bar. The gold 100g bar contains 3.21 troy ounces fine gold.
The 100 gram bars are produced both as a cast bar and a refined bar.
Cast gold bars are made by pouring the molten gold into a mould, which means that the finish is more uneven than the minted bars. The smaller cast bars are not sealed in any packaging, but do come with a numbered certificate which matches the serial number on the bar.
Pure gold is extremely soft and it is easy for bars to pick up small scratches and knocks, so it is best to keep them in the same condition as when they were sold to you. Bars which have been badly damaged may be worth less when you re-sell them.
