The Belgian 20 Franc coins for Leopold II were minted from 1870-82 and are a popular Belgian gold coin. The obverse shows a portrait of Leopold II and the reverse has a design of the crowned arms of Belgium.

Leopold II reigned from 1865 until 1909. He was a first cousin of Queen Victoria Ð Leopolds father was her uncle. He was known as the Builder King as he commissioned many building projects and public works while he was King.
