Description
The 4 ducat was made as a currency issue until 1914 and the 1915 re-strike is still made today. The 4 ducat is a very popular coin, as it is particularly attractive. It is made of very high quality gold Ð 0.986 fineness or 23.6 carat. The coin itself is 39.5 mm in diameter, making it larger than many other bullion coins, but it is very thin. The obverse shows a laureate portrait of the Emperor Franz Joseph and the reverse design is of a crowned Imperial eagle.
Please note: the coin pictured is not the coin you will receive. The coin you purchase will be non date specific and chosen by one of our bullion team.
