Description
Ten peso coins were struck for many years, but this particular design is the one which trades as a bullion coin. They were struck as a currency issue between 1905 and 1920 and then officially restruck wth the date of 1959 in later years.
This design of the Mexican ten peso was made in honour of Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, a priest and revolutionary leader, who was a prime figure in the fight for Mexican independence from Spain.
